About the Love County Sheriff's Office

Love County in on the southern border of Oklahoma and Texas and was established in 1907. Love County County includes 532 square miles with roughly 9,742 people in population.

Love County is bordered by the following counties: Carter County to the north, Marshall County to the east, Cooke County, TX and Montague, TX to the south, and Jefferson County to the west.

Under Sheriff Andy Cumberledge's leadership, the sheriff's office staff and deputies work within the county, neighboring, counties, state and national agencies. We value the communities we serve. We believe the purpose of our organization is to serve our communities, keep the peace, keep them safe, and work with them to solve problems.
